Vacation spots?

Where to go for vacation? Where, oh, where? Oh help! It seems like every place we want to go is somewhere we want to take the kids to in a few years. I need some suggestions. We plan to go to Arizona and see some family there this summer but we also plan to spend a week somewhere in late June. I know it sounds random, but we're thinking about San Antonio. Ever been there? What are your favorite family vacation places? If I pick your idea, I'll take you with us. Doesn't that sound like a deal?

san antonio would be a lot of fun. or corpus christ texas. then you get the fun of texas with the beach as well.

of course i really love the northwest so i would say seattle or cannon beach or a mixture of that area.

San Antonio is SOOOO much fun but I don't know if there's much to do there for the boys except the zoo & Sea World. We spent most of our time near the Riverwalk which is more geared towards adults. Of course, you could always to Disney World. It's not as expensive as everyone thinks it is and the boys would get in for free.

I've never been to San Antonio...
Arizona sounds fun! I never had a desire to go to the SouthWest region until we flew over it and I saw all the beauty.

We're slightly considering flying out to NH, renting a car, and driving up to Maine. Wanna join us?? :)

Never been to San Antonio, or Texas for that matter, but it sounds like everyone else likes it!

You could always join us in Vail this summer, but then again, we won't have kids with us, so.... never mind...

For someplace you can drive to in a day - the Wisconsin Dells. Our girls LOVED the waterpark we went to, and there's other more "nature-y" things to do there too.

But I'm sure San Antonio is way cooler.

Wisconsin Dells - Kalahari Resort
or Great Wolf Lodge :)
First place Bryce learned to put his head in the water at 4 years and like it!

Ooo...we LOVE family vacations! We've taken our 3 kids to Colorado (Durango, Denver, Colo. Springs, Boulder)--super beautiful, free/inexpensive nature activities; South Carolina--beaches and lots of cool historical sights; North Carolina--more beaches, sand dunes, beautiful lighthouses, and the Wright Brothers! These places all were great for small children!
I LOVE San Antonio--the River Walk is beautiful! The Alamo is cool history to learn about and there are beaches close! Now I want to go there! And a trip to NH sounds beautiful, too! And Seattle!
Ahhh...I'm always in the mood to travel!
